Lovett School High School Film Fest
Festival was created to encourage and inspire young filmmakers from around the world by providing them both a venue to publicly screen their short films and a place to connect with one another. Films must have a max running time of 15 minutes and have been written, directed and edited by teens ages 13-18.
GO EAST FILM FESTIVAL
Short film is back at goEast 2019! A jury consisting of five members will award the RheinMain Short Film Award (2,500 euro), funded by Kulturfonds Frankfurt RheinMain to the best short film from Central and Eastern Europe dealing with the general topic “Crossing Borders”. This topic can be dealt with in various ways: formally or stylistically, plot-wise or even ironically. The competition will consist of eight shorts films (maximum length of 20 minutes) and will shape a concise overview of the Central and Eastern European short film.
NOICE FLOOR FILM FESTIVAL
NoiseFloor is an interdisciplinary event with a focus on experimental composition. Our theme this year is Engagement. Works (compositions and performances) and proposals (for papers, lectures/recitals, panel discussions, workshops and other ideas) addressing this theme are particularly welcome. Of course, proposals for other relevant topics will also be considered. Submissions are invited from composers, academics, practitioners, individual researchers, postgraduates and any other interested parties. Note: there is a registration fee to present at the conference, but no submission fee.
Cortex International Film Festival
Córtex Film Festival is accepting short films in video with a maximum running time of 30 minutes, including credits. Films must fall within the following genres: fiction, documentary, animation, and experimental. Córtex Film Festival contemplates the following competitions when accepting submissions: National Competition (for films previously presented in other festivals), National Competition (for premieres), International Competition, Mini Cortex – An international competition that is comprised exclusively of animated films dedicated to the younger audience.
UPIKE Film & Media Arts Festival
All filmmakers (international and USA) must pay the required submission fee to enter unless they are from the states of Kentucky, Virginia, or West Virginia or their film was shot in one of those states. For those filmmakers we have a special submission category that is free to enter. All filmmakers that submit to this category are required to clarify their Kentucky, Virginia, or West Virginia connection in an accompanying cover letter or in their film information. Failure to clarify this will result in us marking your submission “Incomplete” until you can clarify your entry’s eligibility. We require this because a significant number of films are inappropriately entered into this free category as an attempt to avoid submission fees. If you fail to explain your film’s eligibility it will eventually result in your entry being disqualified.
Gdansk DocFilm Festival (Poland)

Animakom
ANIMAKOM (hereinafter: the Festival) is specialised International competition of animated films, taking place in Bilbao from 2 to 8 April 2019. Festival’s submissions are open to films applying all animation techniques, including combinations with live action. Over 50% of the production must be animated, and the Festival reserves the right to determine whether an entry qualifies as animation.
Transilvania International Film Festival (Romania)
(TIFF) is organized by Romanian Film Promotion and it is the first international feature film festival in Romania. The main objective of Transilvania IFF is to promote the cinematic art by presenting some of the most significant films of the moment, films which exhibit not only originality and independence of expression, but also unusual forms of cinematic language and modern trends of the young culture. Animated Film Festival
The Annecy International Animation Film Festival (French: Festival International du Film d’Animation d’Annecy, abbreviated as AIAFF) was created in 1960 and takes place at the beginning of June in the town of Annecy, France. Initially occurring every two years, the festival became an annual event in 1998. It is one of the four international animated film festivals sponsored by the Association Internationale du Film d’Animation(or ASIFA, the International Animated Film Association). Feature.
Durban International Film Festival
The Durban International Film Festival (DIFF) invites filmmakers from across the world to submit their Short, Documentary or Feature Fiction films to screen in the festival from 18-28 July under the theme Reimaging DIFFerent.
ANIFILM
Anifilm’s mission is to present current trends, methods, technologies and animation techniques in its programme. It also supports works in progress and brand new animation projects and their authors, producers and distributors. Film professionals from all over the world can use Anifilm as a platform for positive confrontation and meeting place for forging new contacts. Anifilm is aimed at authors and film professionals as well as students, educators, film theorists and all fans of animated production, including children. Anifilm also wants to represent the Czech Republic, South Bohemian Region and the town of Třeboň in international context on a long-term basis.
MediaWave International Film Festival
Special theme: RITUALS. The mystic word ‘ritual’ occured when thinking about the theme of our next Gathering. However, after going deeper into studying the expression, we figured out that it means much more to us: we have been instinctively using at Mediawaves for years what the ethnograpy defines as “temporary rituals”, the possible solutions of the society for crises accompanying the turning points of human life. Such rites are for instance the stag and hen party, the wedding procession and the wedding party itself which have created the pillars of our gathering for four years. There are rites going hand in hand with changes of the universe, the alternation of seasons. Mayday is the beignning of the spring festival to celebrate fertility, the fresh, green, colurful, the invigorating liberty of going out from dark rooms to the nature. Several traditions and rituals relate to this period of the year, among them the gipsies’ spring festival, the Ederlezi. Our Gathering is also held this time so we strongly want the different tastes of Mediawave in film, music, community programs and gastronomy to be flavoured with spices of this beautiful spring rite.

Kristiansand International Children’s Film Festival (Norway)
KICFF is Norway’s largest film festival aimed at children and youth. The target group is age 3-19. The festival takes place in Kristiansand, Southern Norway. KICFF accepts features, documentaries, animations and short films from all over the world.
International Film Festival for Children and Youth
KINOLUB is an international film festival organized since the year 2015 by the IKS Foundation in the cities of Southern Poland – including small villages, where the screenings are held in local cultural institutions. The focus is also set on film education and that is the event’s unique and important feature, which is developed as well in other endeavors run by the Foundation. Most of all, KINOLUB is a celebration of films produced for children and youth. Each year in June different cities offer festival screenings to audiences between 4 and 18 years of age. The program includes motion pictures from all over the world, rich in artistic quality and conveying important messages. The aim is to create an environment for young people to actively and keenly participate in the cultural life and to develop new mindful audiovisual audiences.
Sylhet Film Festival

Cell Phone Cinema
Shooting a Film/Music Video / News/ Still Image on MOBILE PHONE, 3 minutes maximum, Shooting Technique: Mobile Phone (cell phone), Purpose: To unleash the creative spark of the participants by using nontraditional means of technology like the Cell Phone and create both motion and still imagery., The Task: Participants can shoot a Video (max. 3 minutes) or Still Picture using a mobile phone. The entries for the competition will revolve around the realm of: Fiction / Music Video, Reality / Electronic News Gathering, Still Image.

Farhang Foundation Short
This Festival caters to the art of short filmmaking that visualizes some aspect or aspects of Iranian “Heritage”, which includes the arts, culture, history, crafts geography, cuisine, and lifestyle. It will take place online on May 1-10, 2019. We will only accept online submission links to your films. YouTube, Vimeo, etc. We will let you know if your film got selected in April. Magmart XI
Magmart video under volcano is an international videoart festival, which over the years has seen the participation of more than 1400 artists from +80 different countries, with thousand submitted videos. The Festival is open to all international videoartists. Between all submitted video, will be done a final selection based on vote of a Jury composed by experts. Any author can participate with max 5 video.
Leiria Film Fest
