Capture a thousand emotions at Kumbh led by Amir Hashmi
Social Photo Walk Dates: 18th – 22nd January, 2019
Day 1 – Lucknow (18th Jan, 2019)
Participants fly-into Lucknow. Flag off the Photo Walk. Explore the city of Lucknow.
Day 2 – Prayagraj (19th Jan, 2019)
Travel from Lucknow to Prayagraj (Allahabad) and then to Areil Sangam. In the evening, explore the city that comes alive at Sangam during Kumbh. Later, there will be a session on photography at Kumbh during ‘Snan Day’.
Day 3 – Prayagraj (20th Jan, 2019)
Early morning participants to leave for photography at the Sangam (Paush Poornima Bathing Day). Later, there will be a session on image processing. Post lunch, people leave to explore the city of Allahabad.
Day 4 – Varanasi (21st Jan, 2019)
Travel from Sangam to Varanasi. Explore Varanasi, the oldest living city. Learn some tricks of street phatography in the by-lanes of Varanasi. Attend the evening aarti at the Dashashwamedh Ghat.
Day 5 – Varanasi (22nd Jan, 2019)
After breakfast, participants fly out to their respective destinations (from Varanasi).

About Amir Hashmi
Amir Hashmi’s photographs do not ‘capture’ moments. They set them free and enable the other to live them. Aware of the complexities that underlie the process of subject photographing subject, his photos emanate a profound sense of beauty and honesty.
While based in Mumbai, he has worked on news features and picture stories, book covers and private commissions. His solo exhibitions include “The Kumbh Mela: Personal Pilgrimages”, “The Making of a British Hospitals”, and “Land of Chhattisgarh” among others.
He has also lectured at the Bhartiya Chitra Sadhna Foundation, the National Film Award winner film director’s at Art in Action.
